“Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart.”
~ Winnie the Pooh.
A newborn baby boy. An adoring and rambunctious older sister. Two calm and doting parents. These are the ingredients for a newborn session which makes my job in post processing hard. There are just too many gorgeous photos to choose from and so I end up editing more than usual. But I cannot complain when this is my job.
Gorgeous Aidan and his family came to my studio and his big sister, Emily was so proud of her new little brother. Aidan’s big bright eyes took in everything that was going on around him and he had a huge array of adorable facial expressions as well. What a cutie.
After a lot of awake time, he fell into a dreamy newborn sleep and we captured all those beautiful newborn details ~ the tiny fingers and toes, the flakey skin in his feet, the curly newborn ears, button nose and rosebud lips.
One of the things I love about photographing newborns is how beautiful and curly they still are. Like you can almost reposition them how they were bonded up in the womb just a few days ago. And in another few days they will discover just how long their legs and arms are and they won’t want to be bundled up and curled up in quite the same way. It truly is a fleeting and special time.
