Yellow flower fields and some gorgeous sibling portraits. This is one of my favourite, favourite spots to shoot. The lights, the lake, the trees and of course the yellow flowers.
Well I should say it was.
Unfortunately, just after these last few sessions were completed in the yellow flower field last year, the council ripped out all of these beautiful “weeds”. I cried when I saw the council workers there pulling out all the gorgeous yellow flowers. Although they were kind enough to leave me a few meters of flowers whilst I was shooting, they were all gone as soon as we were done.
So these are the last of the yellow flower shots for a while. If you see these flowers growing anywhere else on the Northern Beaches, that is not by the side of a road, please please let me know. I would love to find another flower field to shoot in again at the end of this year!
At the end of the day however, these portraits are far less about the yellow flowers, and far more about the gorgeous siblings who are sitting amongst them. What little cuties these two were. Gorgeous big eyes, beautiful little smiles. The sweetest of natures. we had some fun playing amongst the flowers and blowing bubbles.
It was a lovely finale for the Yellow Flower Fields.
