Learning a variety of poses, learning how to get your clients in a natural, comfortable position is crucial to running a successful newborn photography business. And it is one of the harder aspects to learn.
Over almost 10 years in business, and photographing 100s of families, I have 6 favourite go-to-poses which I use in my newborn sessions. I pose my families so that I can capture them at their best, making sure there is connection and emotion in these special portraits. I ate sure that everyone is comfortable in the pose, and I use a posing flow that ensures baby is not disturbed, working different angles and focal lengths to get the most out of every pose..
